Lawn Care - Lawn Maintenance Services
Our Services
Lawn Maintenance - Your lawn will receive a weekly cut, trim, and edge from early April to November. All adjacent features surrounding your lawn such as patios, trees, fences, etc will be trimmed with a string trimmer. Grass clippings will be blown off all surfaces including walkways, patios, and driveways. Grass clippings will be recycled back into the lawn. There will be no clumps of grass on the lawn. During the hot and dry periods of summer, the cutting height on all equipment will be raised to appropriate cutting height and mowing frequency can be extended to about ten to fourteen days to prevent the lawn from burning out. We are not offering one-time cuts at this time.
Recycling the grass clippings back into the lawn has the following benefits:
- Valuable nutrients return to your lawn such as Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphorous
- Reduces waste going to local landfills
- Reduces the amount of fertilizer required to keep a healthy lawn.
Mulch Installation - Double- shredded hardwood mulch will be applied at a depth of 1’’-2’’ in all flower bed areas and around trees. The benefits of installing mulch in your flower beds are the following:
- Conserves soil moisture and helps contain water during summer months.
- Helps control weeds and prevents weed germination
- Protects plants roots
- Beautifies your landscaping
Bed Edging - Throughout the year, your lawn may start to impede on your flower beds if not maintained properly. Or the mulch in your flower beds may start to creep down toward the edge of the flower bed creating an unpleasant look. This service will create a clear, definite line between your flower bed and your lawn to provide that crisp, clean look between your freshly mulched flower beds and your green, lush lawn. This service is provided before mulch installation.
Flower Bed Maintenance - Before you apply mulch, you need to properly clean-up the flower beds and tree rings that are covered in weeds, leaves and sticks.
Aeration - Thousand of small cores will be removed from your lawn which will allow for more nutrients to help build a stronger root system for your lawn. Lawn aeration helps reduce thatch and helps alleviate compacted areas. This service occurs in the fall, usually between late August and late September for the Prince William County area.
Overseeding - An application of grass seed will be applied to cover the bare spots and will help to create a thicker looking lawn. Overseeding is performed after the lawn aeration service in order to provide the grass seed a higher probability of germinating. After the seed is spread throughout the lawn, it is essential the seeds are watered adequately; about three to four times a week to ensure proper germination.
Bush/Shrub Pruning - Trim all bushes/shrub fewer than 15 feet for a neat and professional looking appearance. Pruning the bushes and shrubs around your property will benefit your landscape by:
- Maintaining plant health
- Reducing the overall size of the bush/shrub
- Shaping them for a clean, neat appearance
- Rejuvenating natural growth for the future
Spring/Fall Clean Up - Includes removing leaves and debris from the lawn and flowers beds, which will be done completely and efficiently as possible. Performed in March to early April and November to December.
Soil Test - determines the PH level (acidity) of the lawn. The results will determine if any soil amendments like lime, phosphate or potash are needed to help improve the soil for a better looking lawn.
Fertilization Program - We are partnered up with a local fertilization company that specializes in treating lawns from pre-emergent crabgrass, broadleaf weed control, slow release fertilizers and grub control. This is a multi-step program to keep your lawn looking its best!
